Clothing designer Maura Marcks has teamed up with other makers in the Capital Region like Brosgé Clothing, Mariahfied, Kate Resler, Abby Kirkman Quilts and Lil Thrift Ma to bring a Fabric Sale to Big Emotions Studio, a vintage shop and studio on Delaware Avenue in Albany.

Sale Details: April 3, 2026 from 3-6pm. Big Emotions Studio, 296 Delaware Ave, Albany NY.

At the sale you’ll find fill-a-bag deals on small fabric pieces (under a yard), alongside 1-3 yard cuts of cotton, wool, upholstery, felt, poly-cotton blends and sewing notions all priced to sell. Venmo payment preferred, cash and credit are also accepted.

We wanted to give new homes to our beautiful off-cuts and discarded bins of totally usable, clean fabric to crafters, quilters, artists and educators for low prices. We treasure these materials and want to see them be turned into something amazing. Sustainably minded and resourceful in her sewing practice, Maura uses only vintage and second hand fabrics to sew one-of-a-kind vacation shirts, jackets and vests, sold locally and online. Her ever growing fabric collection and small pieces leftover from the design process slowly piling up led her to collaborate with the like-minded sewing community she has created relationships with over the last 5 years. Unsold materials from the sale will be donated to YWMCA in Troy, and Upstitch in Albany, and Swansons Fabrics in Turners Falls, Ma.
